The instrument consists of an air purification area, a control area, a combustion furnace, an electrolytic cell and a stirrer.
1.Air purification area: This part consists of electromagnetic pump, flow meter, dryer, etc.
2. Controller: including temperature controller, Coulomb integrator and program controller.
3. High-temperature furnace: the tube-type high-temperature furnace is used as the combustion furnace, and the heating element is silicon carbon tube.

4. Electrolytic cell and stirrer: The electrolytic cell is made of plexiglass and has a volume of 450 ml. It has a pair of electrolytic electrodes and a pair of indicator electrodes. The upper cover and its shell are sealed with a rubber sealing ring. A sintered glass melting plate gas filter is installed on one side of the electrolytic cell shell to spray the gas emitted after combustion into a fine mist. Put a stirring rod in the electrolytic cell for stirring the electrolyte to make the chemical reaction fully and uniform.

Working Principle


Working principle

The sample is burned in a purified air stream at a high temperature of 1150℃. Various forms of sulfur in the coal are burned and decomposed into SO2 and a small amount of SO3 and escape. The generated SO2 and a small amount of SO3 are carried by the air stream to the electrolysis In the cell, it combines with hydration to generate H2SO3 and a small amount of H2SO4, which destroys the potential balance of the acetic acid's iodine-potassium iodide pair. The instrument detects the voltage change at the electrode and automatically controls the circuit to electrolyze potassium iodide to generate iodine to oxidize and titrate the iodine produced by electrolysis The electricity used is integrated internally by the microcomputer system, data is recorded, and the data is transmitted to the main control microcomputer. The host computer processes the data and displays the printing result.
Manufacturing principle
The instrument is designed according to the coulometric titration method in GB/T214-1996, and is developed on the basis of other existing domestic sulfur measuring instruments. Improved the poor linearity, zero drift, manual control of
electrolysis switch, manual adjustment of furnace flow and other shortcomings. The whole measurement process adopts microprocessor intelligent control, and many new intelligent control functions such as automatic control of electrolysis switch and PID mode control of furnace flow are added; and the test data is corrected and processed by the microprocessor to make the measurement data stable and parallel It is good, the accuracy and precision of the results are better than the requirements of the national standard GB/T214-1996, and the large-screen Chinese characters display, the man-machine interface is friendly, the keyboard operation is simple and easy to learn and use, the automatic intelligent control degree is high, and the volume is small. , So it is the most ideal sulfur measuring instrument in the laboratory.
